The Christian Fellowship
The Tenets of The Christian Fellowship
An Apostolic Spirit-filled church
- The eternal God, revealed as the Godhead in unity as three persons, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are one in substance and essence.
- The Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and is unequivocally God; born of a virgin; sinless in life on earth; died by crucifixion; raised from the dead; and is seated at the right hand of the Father; soon to return to earth in the Millennial Reign.
- The Person of the Holy Spirit is of absolute equality with the Father and the Son. He is sent by the Father and the Son to reveal the deep things of God, to empower believers, to lead and guide believers into all truth, and to convict the sinner of their depraved state unto repentance.
- Man’s human nature is totally depraved because of sin and can only be cleansed when repentance and regeneration is made through faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the Cross. Redemption is only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
- There is forgiveness, justification, righteousness and sanctification in the finished work of Christ. The ever-present Holy Spirit is the Sanctifier who cleanses the person’s soul and spirit with the Word of God.
- A person who is born-again is required to seek the baptism with the Holy Spirit with signs following; the reason being is that these two experiences are different and apart.
- The evidence of the nine fruit of the Holy Spirit is testified by those filled with the Spirit which is contrary to the old nature.
- There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit desired by members in every local assembly where they operate decently and in order.
- Absolute obedience to fulfill the commands of Jesus who instructs the church to uphold the ordinances of water baptism by single immersion of a believer and the Breaking of Bread on the Lord’s Day.
- The immutable, infallible and inerrant Word of God, the Bible, divinely inspired and authoritative reveals the will of God to man.
- The church which is the body of Christ is a theocratic government with the Lord Jesus Christ as the head of the church to whom He gave ministries of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, and offices of elders and deacons. Every person baptized with the Holy Spirit is a member of the body of Christ, the church. The church’s commission is to glorify God, mature the believer, and go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.
- Believers anticipate the lively and blessed hope of being reconciled to Jesus when they are raptured off the earth prior to the Great Tribulation taking place and will then return with Jesus to the earth after the Great Tribulation and rule with Him in the Millennial Reign.
